LUGGAGE, CARGO & TRAVEL INFORMATION

Luggage is defined as an item used to pack personal belongings for travel, including hard-case or soft cloth suitcases, duffel bags, and backpacks.

All luggage must be checked in at least 15 minutes prior to departure with a uniformed San Pedro Belize Express employee.
Luggage that is not checked in will not be the responsibility of San Pedro Belize Express.
Upon check-in, luggage will be tagged with a color-coordinated tag and tracking number for identification:
- Belize City – Yellow
- San Pedro – Pink
- Caye Caulker – Orange
- Chetumal, Mexico – Blue
- Caye Chapel – Purple
Passengers must use their tag to claim their luggage upon arrival.

Each passenger is allowed:
- One (1) checked luggage up to 23 kg / 50 lbs.
- One (1) small carry-on that fits under the seat.
Oversized or overweight luggage will be charged at standard cargo rates.
Fragile or perishable items should not be packed in checked luggage.
The following items must not be checked in :
cash, camera equipment, jewelry, medication, eyeglasses, legal documents, antiques, computers, electronics, and other valuables or irreplaceable items.
Prohibited items include: sharp objects, weapons, explosives, hazardous materials, and illegal substances.

San Pedro Belize Express is not responsible for minor damage to checked luggage such as cuts, nicks, scratches, or normal wear and tear from handling and sea transport.
Liability for lost or damaged checked baggage is limited to the actual value of the item(s), not to exceed $50 USD per passenger.
Claims are subject to compliance inspection, verification, and reasonable judgment by San Pedro Belize Express compliance representative.
San Pedro Belize Express assumes no liability for fragile, perishable, or valuable articles packed in checked luggage.
Items that are marked off as “D” upon check in : “D” – PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE IDENTIFIED – NO LIABILITY ASSUMED

Luggage left behind will automatically incur a $5 BZD overnight storage fee.

San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Limited is a pet friendly company. Safety regulation dictate that pets travelling on San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Limited must be in a proper carrying bag or kennel.
Service dogs must check-in with cargo and show certifications.
Service dogs may travel without a kennel after their certifications are validated by our staff.
No kennel rental fee is applied for service dogs.
Receive a $2.50 USD discount when your pet travels with its own kennel.
Pets must weigh under 90 Ibs.
Kennels are available at each port upon advance request.
Rental Fee:

Cargo is limited to small/light weight freight of items not exceeding 150lbs.
All items must be properly package and checked in 30 minutes to a schedule departure.
