June 30, 2011, Belize City, Belize – San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi increased tourist travel in Belize and Mexico by nearly 80% from 2010 to 2011, according to the water ferry service’s ticket sales and total passengers report for the first quarter of 2011.

San Pedro Belize Express initiated its strategic marketing plan for the beginning of 2011.  In the first quarter of 2011, the average total monthly passengers to and from San Pedro or Caye Caulker, Belize and Chetumal, Mexico increased by 79.7%.  The results also show the total number of passengers over that three-month period amounted to nearly as many total passengers in all of 2010 on the same route.
